christin studied jazz drums in hanover (germany), groningen (netherland) with heinz lichius, steve altenberg and prof. ralph peterson. After her studies in Europe she moved to Los Angeles to study with aaron serfaty, ngudu chancler and her main teacher prof. peter erskine at "thornton school of music" (university of southern california). christin has played on several national and international festivals (big band festival imatra, finland, jazzfestival grahamstown, south africa, ...). she played concerts in europe, south africa, the united states and recorded a couple of albums with one of the best german youth big bands ("ellington and more" (2011), "live at tula's" feat. prof. jiggs whigham (2014) and her own band "grenzbereiche", released 2012 (schoener hoeren records). christin had lessons and masterclasses with matt wilson, jeff hamilton, joe labarbara, jeff ballard and keith carlock and is now living and working in Hamburg.
